Surprise surprise! It's 2023!

I was around for a bit in '21 but @ https://rainereverie.blogspot.com, heh. Totally MIA from blogging in '22 tho. Wellll, hi.

Chitose Strawberry Afternoon Tea | Mandarin Oriental Hotel

I saw this poster & was immediately drawn to it. Why? The answer's super ez haha it's cause it's so pink! Asked Grace & Adeline if they were interested to go, Adeline even came from Seremban to spend 3 days w us :) So we had a girls "holiday" ♡

For RM158 pp inclusive of tax, you'll get 7 types of pastries, 2 Fresh Chitose strawberries (unlike 3 in the poster), 4 mini sandwiches, & 2 types of scones w 2 types of jam and 1 cream.



You'll also get a refillable pot of tea/coffee of your choice. There were quite a lot of flavors to choose from. My pick was the Coconut Truffle. Loveee it, super aromatic.











Doesn't look a lot, but we were really full in the end haha.







All the backgrounds are diff. My background is not very nice but it's okay. We enjoyed ourselves hehe. The afternoon tea was decent, not bad actually. Best part is that they don't taste artificial at all.





Lepak moments in Grace's condo in KL. That's where we slept over. Watched movies together & had chill drinks as well.



Suki-Ya Japanese buffet @ Pavilion on one of the days. It's been over 2 years since I last had Suki-Ya.







Cocktails time! We unintentionally bar hopped haha. Michaelangelo's & La Bodega.

I used to like Michaelangelo's a lot, it was one of my fav spots in Pavilion. Then their service started becoming really slow, & it hasn't improved since. Disappointed. Not sure if I'd return cause previously before this visit, bf & I had to wait 40 mins for our food. The place wasn't even packed whatsoever.

Not forgetting to mention that their cocktails' alcohol content is really low, tastes like there's no alcohol in them. Informed the waiter abt it & he just said "our place is like that". Ok.... I'm sure if it were other bars they'd gladly switch it up for us according to our preference/liking.





Last day~ Planned to visit nice cafes but Adeline gtg back to Seremban in a hurry for personal reasons :/ So decided to have quick lunch @ one of my fav spot for Japanese food - Nihonkai. Craving for it now haha, so good :b

Was a really nice 3 days w them. Looking forward to the next!

N's Birthday | Blackbyrd (not gonna revisit)

Changed seats several times cause.. upon making reservation via WhatsApp beforehand, the PIC said that our group of 9 couldn't be seated together due to SOP. Ok, totally understandable.

The best seating nearest to the KLCC view is max 2 person per table,



So I googled & sent this image saying I want this area instead (since it's the next best that seats 3 per table). Just nice right, for 9. But the PIC insisted that the middle table has to be empty due to SOP & if I wanted to invite more than 6, we'd have to sit far from each other.

I said okay, 6 pax then & transferred the deposit. PIC gave me a confirmation for the left & right table.

Upon reaching, first thing I saw was the middle table being occupied by a couple lol. I could've invited my 3 other friends, made it 9 pax since the beginning without all these unnecessary hassle.

Not forgetting to mention, service was bad as well. Waiter that served our table looked like he wasn't happy to work there.





Cocktails were mediocre, I can easily find better ones at random speakeasies.



This Wild Mushroom soup looks like bkt LOL & it tasted so weird, didn't even finish it. Yeah it's quite bad wtf.



I like the flavor & texture of this Cripsy Nori Crunch but unfortunately the salmon & ikura was not fresh. Otherwise it'd be really nice.

I don't even feel like elaborating on the other dishes cause they're all not fresh, except for my Pan-Seared Chilean Seabass. Flavors are there, but idk why they use ingredients that seem like they've been frozen for weeks. Beef was chewy, lobster meat was hard, just to name a few.



Even the lime wasn't fresh, can you imagine? Can't even squeeze it, just straight up dry.



Burnt sweet potato fries. They can't even get that right wtf.









They call this their "Unagi Japanese Rice" *facepalm* So misleading. Might as well call it Salmon Japanese Rice. KM asked the waiter if he was served the wrong dish & the waiter said, "it's correct, there are little bits of unagi in the rice" but he can't seem to find any LOL.

I'm usually not very picky w food so when even I can say it's bad, it's gotta be reallyy bad. Almost order their wagyu but luckily I didn't, cause I recently had 2kgs of wagyu w friends so sudd a bit jelak.



Good dessert in the end hahah.

The gift that I got for Nick - Hermes Clic HH Bracelet. Super hard to find this color combo (black & gold) for the new men's version cause it's always sold out & they're never sure when stocks will replenish. So ya I searched high & low for a month wtf and managed to get it just in time.

Glad he likes it :) I'm a big fan of Hermes bracelets & now we get to twin ♡

3rd Anniversary | Sushi Oribe

24/7 — Nick & I's 3rd anni ^__^ ♡

Honestly didn't realize it was a good date haha he just randomly asked me to be his gf back then without "choosing" any date. Later on I was like "eh? I can caption this photo Love you 24/7" & that was when I was surprised. I also started to notice many people pick this particular date to get engaged or have their ROM :O

Anyways back to the topic~



We went for omakase @ Sushi Oribe to celebrate.

I love Japanese food A LOT & have this cuisine very often but it was only recently I was able to accept eating raw fish. He doesn't eat raw food either except very few types of sashimi so we're new & are noobs to this :b

Here are the chef's selections that we tasted. Didn't know I'd enjoy it this much! Everything was super fresh. My top favorites are the flounder fin & unagi. The flounder fin bursts in the mouth w flavor & the unagi has a nice smoky taste. Bf's favs are the flounder fin as well, & Amberjack.





Anniversary dessert variety specially prepared for us :) The hojicha ice cream wafer was really nice, pleasant way to end the course.



Gotta say that I am converted! I loveee eating raw food now haha. The chefs were very friendly & interactive, it was nice that they were making sure we had a good time :) Fast service from the waitstaff. Looking forward to try out more omakase places.



Thank you baby for your love, care, & patience all these while. You pamper me a lot & make me feel like the luckiest girl everyday! Through everything we'll stick together as I promised okie.

In Loving Memory of Chun Ming

I could be stronger, but only for you.

It took some time for me to calm down, have a sit down, & type. I've just opened a bottle of cognac, & trust me when I say I'm constantly thinking about you. Honestly, I'm still in disbelief. I can't believe you're no longer here, that you've left us over a week ago. It can't be true.

Do you know how hard it is to find a friend who's as genuine as you? You're my best friend. We call each other daddy & daughter for a reason. We could rely on one another. We tell each other a lot of things that we couldn't say to others. Trust. I'm sad because I wish you had confided in me like you always do. Why did you give up on me? :( And I'm truly sorry if you've ever felt alone. It was never my intention. I should've done so much more. If only I knew, I would've done so much. Now all I have left of you are some pictures & videos.

Where are you? More importantly, how are you? Because I really hope you find peace within yourself. Forget about the past, forget of all your pain & move on. Don't worry & don't look back. We'll all be okay. Most importantly, we hope you are okay.

I miss you all the time. & I miss your voice.

Ambrosial 安慕希 Greek Yoghurt

Today's an exciting day cause a premium mix package has arrived my doorstep! If you view my IGS, you’d probably know I try to be as active as I can (reason why I bought a treadmill for my home).



So I'm really happy to include Ambrosial 安慕希 Greek Yoghurt as part of my healthy routine!

They have 5 flavors including Strawberry. Here we have the Original, Blueberry, Mango & Passion Fruit, Yellow Peach & Oats. Tried & love the natural tasting flavors/rich & creamy texture.



My favorite is the Yellow Peach & Oats ♡ Made w real yellow peach pulps & Australian imported oats, so so delicious!

Couples Trip to Bali

Throwback to last September in beautiful Bali w Nick, Desmond, & Adeline - our spontaneous couples trip ♡

Initially asked them where they'd like to stay & what they'd want to do but the guys' answer was "anything" o_o So Adeline & I planned the itinerary. It was our first time haha glad it went well tho! Cause the guys preferred to just go there & see where the journey takes us wtf but I prefer to be organized otherwise we'd wake up late, laze around, & probably end up not exploring that much.

Day 1







As you can see, haven't reach aso I started to be hyper already haha.



We're here!













Checked in our villa & I was instantly in love. It was so pretty, so my type, & comfortable.

Private pool for each couple :) Probably my fav part. Received many msgs regarding this place. It's called La Vie Honeymoon Villa. Priced @ MYR2000 excluding tax (per villa, all the same size) for 4 nights.



First up, lunch! Went to a vegan cafe - Balibola Cafe.





Food & drinks were great. They don't only look pretty. I was excited when I saw the pink mac & cheese. Highly recommended. I'd go there again.

Damar Terrace, Ayana Resort. We loved the food, except Nick he said it's mediocre.

Day 2



Breakfast in the villa ♡



Got picked up & was brought to try the famous Kopi Luwak, among other interesting flavors. I liked the vanilla coffee.

Tegenungan Waterfall. Didn't enjoy this place cause there were soo many humans.



Off to Blue Lagoon for snorkeling!

Everyone was exhausted so decided to stay in & order room service then call it a night. Their Chicken Cordon Bleu *thumbs up* while Adeline & Des had steak next door. She ran over & gave me a bite to try cause she said it's very nice haha cutie.

Day 3





It's "wake up late & make use of the villa's pool" day! :b When I flipped the catalog & saw the floats, I asked "baby, can I have a float?" He was like "ok, choose la" ♡ & of course I had to pick the colorful unicorn!











Pulled them for some mandatory float shots, heh.





Had so much fun, just love to chill :D



I was surprised that he'd jump like this haha. He turned out to be the most adventurous one, wow.

Got changed & out for lunch! Tried bebek for the first time that day.



Sadly forgot the name of the shop, ahhh.



Bebek is fried duck & we didn't plan to like it this much wtf. Supposed to try just once but we ended up going a few more times haha. There were also squid, prawns, fried fish. But our fav is of course the bebek.





Next up, Beachwalk Shopping Centre. But it was boring there. Got excited when I saw Sour Sally tho cause I tried before years ago when I was in Jakarta. Sadly I picked the wrong toppings & ruined the whole dessert haha.

Day 4



More bruschetta, yes please :3 It was so nice to be served breakfast everyday like this.



My granola bowl was yums too.



Grabbed a few snacks to eat in the car whilst otw to Bali Swing. This was my first pick to tear open.

This was the more extreme version for the swing. It's much higher, hence we had to equip those stuffs.



Resting w a cup of yucky bubble tea from the stall nearby lol~ Super tiring ok haha had to queue.



Seafood dinner time. This one's the guys' pick, they randomly asked the driver what's good. Otherwise the initial plan was to go to Cocoon Beach Club.

We actually went for a walk around our villa during late night to see what's available & were so happy to have found bebek omg hahaha.

Day 5



Last breakfast at the villa. I've been missing this villa so much.



Checked out and.. I'm @ the famous Pak Malen! It was almost full house.



First try babi guling. Assorted pork on a plate. Put some sweet sauce on top & it was heaven haha. The soup was kinda spicy but okay also. Sadly we only tried this during our last day & we were gna go back to Malaysia already :(





Back to Day 3's bebek place before we leave to the airport lolol you must be so bored of seeing these bebek pix already gomenasai!



Lost count on how many times I drank Bintang beer but it's a must when you're in Indonesia!





Airport. Flight got delayed few hrs.

& that concludes our Bali trip! Will I go back again? Definitely! Since I missed out on the beach clubs this time around, shall remember to put it into the next itinerary. Honestly this is one of the most memorable trips for me & I'm grateful ♡
